Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between a standard wire pulling rope and our easy pull rope?

A standard pulling rope is a cotton double braided with core rope. This can cause moisture to get into the rope causing a couple issues. First this causes the rope to rot over time and eventually break. The last issue you need is a rope to break in the middle of the wire pull. This can take hours to resolve and could possibly damage the conduit, resulting in lost profits on the job and wasted man hours. Second, the moisture can also create more wall friction making the wire pull slower and much harder on the equipment. Easy pull rope is a 12 stranded braid made of High Molecular Polyethylene. Our rope does not absorb water and glides through conduit making the wire pull faster and easier on your equipment. It is also made with minimum stretch and maximum breaking strength making it much safer on the job site.

How does an easy pull rope save money on the job?

Easy pull rope has a much lower coefincencey  of friction  which makes the pull faster and less wear on your tugger motor, making your equipment last longer. It also has a breaking strength of 39,000 lbs. if a rope breaks in the middle of a wire pull, this can cost hours in labor, cause high priced injuries and damage materials.

How does an easy pull rope make the job safer?

With Easy pulls breaking strength of 39,000 pounds there is a less likely chance of a rope breaking. If an easy pull rope were to break, there is almost no stretch in our rope. A standard rope has a lot of stretch. This can cause a wire feeders hands to get caught in the conduit. Also if the rope were to break, the sling back can cause major injury if you’re in the line of site to the rope.
